In fact, it is thought that out of the hundreds of websites offering this service, only a handful have been found to be genuine or reputable. It is always best to find a local police auction and attend in person to be absolutely sure of the event's authenticity.
Police auctions being held in your area can be located in the newspaper, on-line or even by calling the local police station. Many police auctions are open to the general public but require identification to be allowed for registration. Many police auctions accept only cash or check and some may only take cash, it is always best to check out the accepted payment forms to make sure you are prepared if you see an item at a great price you would love to take home!
